Enrolling

SLB’s Flex Benefits program offers comprehensive and competitive coverage for you and your family, reflecting the company’s commitment to providing flexibility and choice that suits your personal needs.

With Flex Benefits, you have the freedom to select the coverage options that are the right fit for you and your loved ones. When you enroll, you can:

  • Choose coverage for extended health care, dental care, life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, critical illness insurance, and long-term disability insurance.
  • Choose higher levels of coverage for yourself or your family, noting that additional costs may apply and will be deducted from your payroll.
If, after you elect your desired coverage, you find that you have remaining Flex dollars to spend, you can deposit those extra funds in your:
  • Health Spending Account (HSA)
  • Personal Spending Account (PSA)
  • Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP)

If you don’t enroll by the deadline, you’ll be automatically enrolled in default coverage: Option 1 for Extended Health Care, Dental Care, and Long-Term Disability. Any unused Flex dollars will go to your Personal Spending Account.

  1. Access the Flex Benefits Enrollment website
Visit the Flex Benefits Enrollment website through the SLB intranet using Single Sign-On. If you’re accessing it externally, log in with your LDAP email and password.
  2. Start your Enrollment
Click “Enroll” on the homepage to begin.
  3. Review and update your personal information
Confirm your details and add eligible dependents you wish to cover.
  4. Choose your coverage
Select the coverage level that best suits you and your family. You can model different options and view associated costs before finalizing your choices.
  5. Allocate remaining Flex dollars
Assign any unused Flex dollars to your Health Spending Account (HSA) and/or Personal Spending Account (PSA).
  6. Designate beneficiaries
Choose your beneficiaries electronically. If naming a minor, a trustee must be appointed. Updates are only needed if your circumstances change.
  7. Confirm your selections
Review and submit your benefit choices.
  8. Complete Evidence of Insurability (EOI)
Complete if applicable. Insurance coverage requiring Evidence of Insurability will remain pending until the respective insurance company has received your EOI Form and approved your insurance coverage.

Your initial benefit choices are effective from your start date through to year-end. You can update your choices during Annual Enrollment in the fall for the new benefits year starting January 1. If you’re hired during Annual Enrollment, you’ll first enroll for the current year and then immediately for the next.
