There often comes a time when an older relative begins having difficulty with getting around or experiences significant hearing, vision or cognitive problems, and we wonder how best to provide them with the care they need. Similarly, if an older relative’s partner has died, it can prompt us to consider whether they can continue to cope on their own. Know that as a SLB employee you have support.

Family Support Time
We know that having an elderly family member who you need to care for can add extra stress to your life. To help you manage, SLB offers flexible working schedules when it can accommodate them and paid and unpaid leave of absence options. This is meant to help you to provide care and support for an aging parent, grandparent or in-law, and make arrangements for longer-term care and/or care coordination. Please see Leaves of Absence and Personal and Vacation Days, or speak with your local HR.
Government Support Services
