Supporting You Through Life’s Transitions
Guidance on how major changes—marriage, separation, or new partnerships—impact your benefits.

Spouse / Partner
Getting Married
Congratulations on your marriage! Or maybe you are officially in a common-law relationship. Either way this is an important milestone.
Please send a copy of your marriage certificate and spouse/partner’s identification documents (i.e. Passport, Birth Certificate, Driver’s License, etc.) to your HR Representative/Manager in order for us to update your records.
In order to add your spouse/partner and update your extended health benefits if required, you will need to declare a “life event” using the My Benefits Portal website within 30 days of the life change event.
Sponsored employees who are on a SLB Employment Visa, please contact your Visa Coordinator, or HR Representative/Manager, who will advise on steps to be taken to add your spouse/partner to your visa. Geomobile Employees, please contact your Cartus Consultant and notify them of your Martial Status as well.
