If you or a family member need some extra support, the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is here to help! Confidential, no-cost professional coaches, consultants, and counsellors are available 24/7 to assist with any work, health, or life concern through TELUS Health One. Call 1-844-880-9142, visit the website, or use the TELUS Health One app to connect a counsellor for the support you need now. The EAP can provide you with services related to issues both big and small. Whether it’s work-related or personal, simply contact the EAP to receive counselling and guidance right away

Your EAP is a confidential and voluntary support service that can help you take the first step towards change. Let us help you find solutions to the challenges you face at any age and stage of life. You and your immediate family members (as defined in your employee benefit plan) can access immediate and confidential support in a way that is best suited to your preferences, comfort level, and lifestyle.

When Calling

  1. After calling (Support will be provided in relevant language, up to 200 languages):
    • Press [1] = Immediate support needed (crisis support)
    • Press [2] = Access EAP services, or reschedule appointments
  2. Proceed with the intake steps.
  3. A clinical assessment and needs analysis will be done to confirm your needs which could include:
    • On-going counselling
    • Self-directed counselling
    • Work/life services & resources
    • People Leader consultations
    • Crisis support
  4. You will then be followed up with from the appropriate service provider. Depending on the type of service requested wait times will vary. On average, the wait time is 5 days to speak to a counsellor virtually for a non-crisis situation.
  5. Once you are finished with the services, please take the time to provide feedback on your experience.

There is no cost to you or your family to use your EAP, as the benefit is provided to you by SLB. Your EAP can provide a series of sessions with a professional and if you need more specialized or longer-term support, our team of experts can suggest an appropriate specialist or service that is best suited to meet your needs. While fees for these additional services are your responsibility, they may be covered by your provincial or SLB health plan.

Your EAP is completely confidential within the limits of the law. No one, including your employer, will ever know that you have used the program unless you choose to tell them.
